"This impressive property, full of character and charm, has just been fully renovated to a high standard to create a delightful family home. The spacious accommodation includes reception room with attractive quarry tiled flooring, well proportioned lounge with original open fireplace with Craven Dunhill tiles from nearby Jackfield, and a stylish country style kitchen diner with oak flooring and views towards the Coalbrookdale viaduct arches. The first floor offers three well proportioned bedrooms two of which feature original cast fireplaces plus a superb family bathroom with slipper bath and separate shower. There are period features throughout this Grade II Listed property that blend beautifully with the recent renovations.

Externally there is a delightful rear terraced area accessed from the first floor offering a private area for outside dining relaxation plus a raised terrace area at the front of the property.

The house was built circa the 1780s by the Darby family, who owned the iron furnace opposite, what is now the Museum of Iron. We suspect that it served as a managerial house. Inside, you will find two original Coalbrookdale cast iron mantelpieces, as well as one downstairs decorated with original Jackfield tiles apparently the same type as those used in the U.S. House of Congress Washington, D.C.

Historic Ironbridge is nearby with a wealth of visitor attractions, restaurants, independant shops, primary school and of course the famous Iron Bridge, and Telford Town Centre and the M54 motorway can be accessed within 15 minutes."
