"The village of Bucknell, which is about 12 miles west of Ludlow benefits from an excellent range of local amenities which include a church, post office, garage and filling station, butchers, two village inns, primary school and a well used community hall. It has the added benefit of a train station giving access to both mid and south Wales and also to Shrewsbury and the north. There is also a direct bus route to Ludlow, Hereford and Knighton.

    From Ludlow proceed along the A49 in a northerly direction. After about 2 miles turn left onto the A4113 towards Knighton. Carry on along this road through Leintwardine village. After passing through Leintwardine turn right onto the Knighton Road. Carry on through Walford and Brampton Bryan to Bucknell. Turn right signposted Bucknell B4367. Proceed over the level crossing and turn right. Just beyond the garage turn left into Dog Kennel Lane and take the next right turn signposted Mynd. Long Meadow House is on the left hand side."
