Location
Henley on Thames is a charming and famous riverside market town, within 10 miles of Reading, 35 miles of Central London, and 25 miles from Heathrow. Rotherfield Road lies on the southern edge and is renowned as one of the towns most sought after residential roads. It is easy to understand why, with an established tree lined avenue giving access to varied and architecturally interesting properties set within substantial grounds, many with gated access. Although the road has a leafy feel, the town centre is within one mile and offers a good range of independent shops, cafe's restaurants and bars, along with supermarkets including Waitrose and Tesco.

When we first saw Oakwood nearly 20 years ago, we fell in love with it and couldn't wait to move in with our three children. Oakwood has been a wonderful family home while our children have grown up - it's seen a lot of life - parties, christenings, and a wedding! The garden is safe, enclosed and totally private and it's now our grandchildren who love running around it finding all the special hiding places. We have made lots of improvements over the years and have recently totally re-modelled the house, but spent a lot of time to make sure it still had that "homely" feel. Our favourite rooms are the kitchen - ideal for a growing family, the orangery - somewhere we can all relax, and finally our beautiful bedroom with views over the garden. We still feel as though this is our holiday home and will be very sorry to leave Oakwood. We hope that another family can get as much pleasure here as we have - it's a very special house!
Ground Floor Accommodation
The tiled entrance hall features natural, neutral decor combined with attractive oak doors leading to the reception rooms and kitchen/diner. To the left as one enters is the principle reception room - running from the front to the back of the property, with oak flooring, a large window to the front and French windows at the rear giving access to the garden, the room is light, spacious and beautifully presented. At the rear is the second reception room, a spacious and relaxing area extended to include an Orangery with lovely views across the rear garden. Additionally there is a good sized study and a stunning kitchen/diner, finished to an excellent standard with an attractive island unit and glazed bi-fold doors front and back adding to the sociable feel of the room. There is also a separate utility room with direct access to the rear garden along with a modern wc/shower room.
