Externally to the rear is a spacious rear garden. Bampton is a picturesque village within 7.5 miles of Witney which was used for the outdoor filming of the fictional village of Downton in ITV's period drama series Downton Abbey. The village benefits from a doctors surgery, a pharmacy, co-op, a post office, public houses and a bus route to Oxford and Witney. There is also a parish council that runs in Bampton and this lively village organises several events throughout the year including the Donkey Derby in August.
