The village has a fantastic harbour, beach, local shop, pubs, and restaurants. With further villages of Seahouses and Bamburgh close by offering extended amenities including doctors, dentists, primary school, supermarket and hotels.

In the market town of Alnwick there are even more amenities. There is a regular bus route from Beadnell to Seahouses, Alnwick, which then connects to Berwick upon Tweed and Newcastle upon Tyne. Nearby Alnmouth railway station has links to London and Edinburgh making Beadnell also a commutable journey for those that work away.
