The Village
The village of Titchmarsh known in Anglo Saxon times as Ticceanmersce (Ticca's Marsh), has links to many national historical events including the Civil War and the Gunpowder Plot. It affords fantastic road and rail links, with the A14 on the doorstep giving access to Huntingdon, Corby, Wellingborough and Kettering stations with rail links to London.

Amenities include a local shop, excellent pub and top performing primary school. The first poet laureate John Dryden spent his childhood here. The modern day village is a thriving community which boasts a mediaeval church, the site of a mediaeval fortified manor house, a village school, clubroom, public house, and playing fields with a pavilion. A shop was officially opened on 21 September 2007 by television presenter Alan Titchmarsh. The village has a primary school. Children from the parish travel to Oundle for secondary education. Many of the houses are built of local limestone, several of which are thatched and a number listed.
