"Situated in the Monmouthshire village of Clydach South, overlooking Clydach Gorge, 'Whitewalls' is a traditional stone built cottage nestled in a plot of over 5 acres of hillside. The accommodation currently comprises of two reception rooms (each with wood burning stoves) kitchen, conservatory, two double bedrooms and a family bathroom, with attached stone outbuildings and WC. Planning permission has been granted to augment this by replacing the conservatory with a two storey extension to provide an additional bedroom on the first floot along with a much larger kitchen/diner downstairs. The property is accessed via wooden gates that lead to a parking area sufficient for two cars with a level formal garden to the far side. The grounds are situated below the property with gate access. Previously used for grazing, it has largely been left wild in recent years so some work to reclaim it would be required. There is also a block built stable with two loose boxes measuring approx 11' x 11' each. Further benefits include a modern oil-fired central heating system, and period features including flagstone floors and exposed beams. This is a delightful cottage offering a rare combination of character, land and potential that demands prompt inspection."
