"Few modern houses have a view like this one, or a key to the gate onto that view: which is of open fields, in fact a great uninterrupted view on to those fields and with a south west and 'sunny' & aspect....

Much appreciated This is one of the larger house types on the Holmands estate and one that's been enjoyed by this young family very much.
You can tell immediately as you walk up the drive that this is cared for.
Decor is bright in colour, modern and the kitchen and bathroom ware have been refurbished in an attractive style. Start to finish Interesting the front of the house has an appealing and recently treated stained wood facade which makes the house stand out a little too. There are a selection of part glazed pine effect internal doors, a number of radiator covers and wardrobes to the main bedroom.
The double glazing has a smart mahogany wood effect finish and of course there's gas central heating. Great kitchen The kitchen is certainly one of the larger on the estate and the owner has maximised work top opportunities along with plenty of units - see photos. Options Currently there's an opening through from the front lounge to the dining room, however we believe that both rooms are sufficiently wide and deep enough to make separate rooms If that's your preference. Extra bonus The latest addition to their house is that of 'conservatory' which has made a significant difference to them - especially with little ones in the house. Useful space The way it has been designed and constructed, in our view, makes this feel more like a 'proper' room rather than just a conservatory.
Walls either side are brick and plaster which obviously creates this feel, adds to extra privacy too.
So apart from the polycarbonate roof the only PVC windows are those that look directly on to the garden and the patio door on the return of that wall. A last comment on this: we wonder whether it won't get so hot as many south facing traditional conservatories do given the nature of its construction? (Either way there's a wall heater/cooler). Outdoors The garden is a fair size. A good block paved drive leads up to the garage. Behind here useful storage space and the beginning of the garden. This starts as decking - and a considerable amount of it - presumably maximising the relaxing opportunities with this private open aspect view - for it extends almost the full length of the garden plot but for the shed that separates this from the boundary. The decking wraps around the back of the house too and central to this, a lawn. A lawn that's not huge but adequate given the free range of space just over the fence....
