"Our clients are serious about selling (so are we of course), the point being that together we have agreed a fixed asking price to attract you (hopefully) and have left room for negotiations to start!

Having said that we know from experience that these victorian houses, especially those that stand at the top of the hill, nearest Bessborough and so nearest Oxton Village are always quite popular. No surprise The village is only a leisurely ten minute walk - five if you stop off via the 'Shrew' - to the centre. Given the prices achieved right in the centre here it's no wonder property on the periphery are more attractive! Packs of room For the novice these homes are probably larger than they actually look. For example there's a very traditional 'period' 'L' shaped hall with a cloakroom

(not understair); three entertaining rooms, including the kitchen breakfast room and four bedrooms and bathroom at first floor. Space The three rooms downstairs include a front living room with a bay; a rear dining room and with the breakfast room having about half of the kitchen units with the remaining in the 'utility', which presumably would have been the original kitchen. If three rooms is too many then an option could be to open up the breakfast room and dining room perhaps. (As some neighbours have done). NB We've not photographed the dining room as this is currently being used as a temporary bedroom and otherwise may have confused. Either way, there are plenty of units (beech styled) and work tops and with Baumatic brushed steel and glass microwave and oven inset to a tall housing unit and separate hob and with the sink in the 'utility' part of the kitchen. Outdoors Outside there is a small garden area and a couple of outhouses. At sub floor level to the house is a considerable void - useful for potential storage. Again, we have seen this space utilised in neighbouring properties with access given from the outside. Something perhaps for you to consider. Bearing in mind.... We appreciate that the house needs some TLC; we appreciate the bathroom for example needs an update, so too the cloakroom. Other aspects you will no doubt add to your 'things-to-do' list. Do that, work some figures, make us an offer. Position From the village walk down Claughton Firs, passed said 'ale house turning left out of Bennetts Hill into Bessborough Road turning second right into Laburnum. See our sign on the second house from the top.
