The Malting House is a charming 17th century FOUR bedroom detached family home and still has some original features including character beams. In the early seventies the building was listed as a Grade II, the details of the features can be seen on the listed buildings website. The property is also on 'The National Heritage List For England'

Internally the property comprises of a lounge, a dining room, kitchen, utility room and an additional WC to the ground floor, three bedrooms, a family bathroom to the first floor and a master en-suite to the loft. From the bedroom windows there are very good views over Grantham and the Vale of Belvoir.

The large garden is laid mainly to lawn and there is a raised bed for vegetable growing. The garden is walled and fenced entirely.

The house also benefits from an added garage (which was previously used for business) with a pit and workshop plus power and water. Further features include a large concrete drive which can accommodate at least ten vehicles.

There is an additional stone/brick built shed perfect for storage of equipment.

Situated in the old part of the village, which is a conservation area, it is in close proximity to the primary school, which has been recently Ofsted graded as outstanding and has also a pre-school. Further there are a range of comprehensive and boys and girls grammar schools, situated in and around Grantham.

The property is within walking distance to all the main facilities such as a leisure centre with swimming pool, the post office, bus stop, the White Swan public house and the church.

Barrowby is situated just outside Grantham and is a lovely village with excellent communication links. It is close to the A1 and links to the M1 (about 30 miles away) via the A52 to Nottingham and the A46 (newly widened) to Leicester from Bingham on the A52. It is also near to the railway main line to Kings Cross which is just over 1 hour away.
