"'The Strand' is a premier location overlooking Jubilee Park and boasts some of the area's finest period homes. This is one of the largest on the street and by acquiring extra land to the rear features one of the biggest plots with excellent parking & garage facilities plus a fantastic rear garden. Older style houses of this size and quality are hard to find in Ashton and to market one with such a big garden plot is very rare. This property has been remodelled and extended into the original outbuildings and offers spacious & well-planned accommodation totalling over 1400 square feet of internal living space - making it way bigger than normal for a traditional 3 bed house and actually much larger than most modern 4 bedroom detached houses. The property is immaculately presented throughout and many of the original features have been retained. A welcoming reception hallway with original staircase leads to two large living rooms. Both are beautifully appointed with original fireplaces and the main lounge has a French door opening out to the rear garden. There is a spacious kitchen fitted in Oak "Shaker" style units incorporating modern built-in appliances, a separate utility room with ground floor WC, and a spacious dining area with another set of French doors opening out to the rear patio. Upstairs, there are three good sized bedrooms and a spacious four piece family bathroom in white which includes a cast iron roll-top bath and separate shower cubicle. Externally there are excellent mature gardens to the front and rear with the rear garden featuring well-stocked borders and three distinct zones with patio and lawned areas for outside living & entertaining. There is a private driveway to the front and side with access to a larger than average detached brick built garage which has power and lights. This remarkable home must be viewed to be appreciated."
