Location

Tyldesley is a town within the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan, in Greater Manchester and is also within access to both Astley and Atherton. Historically a part of Lancashire, Tyldesley and its surroundings have provided evidence for the remains of a Roman road passing through the area on the ancient course between Coccium

(Wigan) and Mamucium

(Manchester). Following the Anglo-Saxon invasion of Britain, Tyldesley was part of the manor of Warrington, until the Norman conquest of England, when Tyldesley constituted a township called Tyldesley-with-Shakerley in the ancient parish of Leigh. Although industrial activity declined in the late 20th century, land reclamation and post-war residential developments have continued to alter Tyldesley's landscape, and have encouraged renewed economic activity, particularly along Elliott Street Tyldesley's central commercial area and its main thoroughfare. The area now benefits from popular schools and links from public transport or personnel transport.

Our View

The house is entered via a particularly stunning entrance, which has two feature stained glass windows both externally and leading into the hallway. The hallway benefits from feature wood flooring and in turn gives access to the downstairs accommodation. The hallway is simply stunning with a wooden staircase leading to the first floor landing. The lounge boasts a feature electric fire, double glass panelled doors to the rear and an impressive bay window to the front finishing off a fantastic room. The dining room has the same finish of the lounge with feature wood flooring and an opening to the FANTASTIC conservatory. There is also a guest cloak room and w.c with access to the garage. The kitchen/dining room is over 25 foot in length and creates a nice focal point to the house. While the kitchen has wall and base units, a breakfast bar, integrated appliances and a slot in multi range double oven/hob. You will not be disappointed as this area would be great for entertaining or to be used as a family space. The ground floor is complimented with radiators in every room and is finished to a high standard. The first floor landing is as impressive as the hallway. There are four bedrooms, the master bedroom being a great size, benefiting from fitted wardrobes and a FANTASTIC EN-SUITE. Two of the other bedrooms are both double rooms with the third being a single room. The family bathroom has a fitted white three piece suite and there is the added benefit of a store room off the landing. Externally to the rear the current owners have turned this into a tropical oasis, perfect for those summer days/nights, there is also off road parking for a number of vehicles, and access to the brick garage which has double doors. The front garden has a small lawn area and mature hedge/shrubs.
