"Welcome to Highland Brow in the popular village of Galgate. Let's be honest, this two/three bedroom semi detached home does require updating throughout however the rooms are a generous size and the outside space is wonderful. There is no chain also, so why not come and have a look? EPC - E

Where is Highland Brow? Welcome to Highland Brow. A popular street in the heart of Galgate village. Galgate is a popular semi-rural village that appeals to families. It is located approximately 4 miles south of the city centre and only a short drive away from the university.

The area offers a diverse range of properties from Victorian mill worker cottages through to modern family homes. There are excellent local amenities including 3 village pubs, spar shop, hairdressers and post office. There is also a great local school. Jct 33 of the M6 is close by, making this area very handy for commuters. The canal that runs past the village offers pleasing country walks. What we like... Although the home does require updating throughout, we quite like this fact. It basically gives you and blank canvass to work with and the opportunity to do whatever you like to the home, including even extending like some neighbouring homes have already done. A little about the home To the front of the home there is a double glazed doorway which opens up into the hallway. Here you will find the stairs to the first floor with storage below and access into two of the three rooms available. The main living room is a generous size and looks out over the front of the home. Just off the lounge is the kitchen which has a door out to the rear of the property. There is also a further room downstairs which could be used as a dining room or potentially even a ground floor bedroom if needed.

Up to the first floor there is a generous sized landing area which has doorways leading to all the rooms available. The larger of the two bedrooms on the first floor is to the rear of the home and overlooks the garden. There is a further generous sized room to the front of the home and of course there is a three piece bathroom suite available. Externally the home boasts rather spacious garden areas to both the front and rear of the home whilst the driveway allows off road parking for several vehicles. Ground floor rooms The main entrance to the front of the home opens up into the hallway which has the stairs just off to your left hand side and there is plenty of storage space beneath them for all your bits and pieces.

Just off the hallway is the main living room for the home. This generous sized room looks out over the front of the property and there is a large window helping to give the room a bright and airy feel. To the centre of the room there is a gas fire with a timber surround which provides the heat for the room. Just off the living room is the kitchen area.

The kitchen has been fitted with a range of built in base, drawer and wall units for storage and there are work tops available to three sides. Space is on offer for all the white goods you would expect to have and there is access out to the rear garden from here via a double glazed door. The ground floor also features another room which some buyers may choose to use as a dining room or it could even be a potential bedroom depending on your needs. First floor rooms Once you are up to the first floor landing you will see that this spacious area has access to all the rooms available and there is a double glazed window to the side elevation.

The master bedroom is a generous sized double room which looks out over the rear garden. This double room has plenty of space for all the expected furniture and there is even built in storage into the eaves for extra space. The second bedroom is another double room which overlooks the front of the home. This room would make an ideal children's room or maybe even a guest room depending on what you need.

Finally to the first floor is the bathroom. This room has been fitted with a three piece suite in white and has been partially tiled. There is a double glazed window to the side elevation of the home which has been frosted. Outside space To the front of the home there is a large lawned garden area with a walled boundaries. The driveway leads you down the side of the home and round to the rear providing off road parking for several vehicles back to back.

Once you are round to the rear of the property you will discover a flagged patio area along with a timber storage shed. There is then a great sized lawned garden with the boundaries offering privacy from the neighbouring homes. Extra information - No Chain
