Location

Sandgate is a village between the towns of Folkestone and Hythe in the Shepway district of Kent. It is within easy access of the M20 which provides links to Ashford and onto London and the port of Dover, Sandgate is ideally placed as a quiet retreat by the coast. In Sandgate you can enjoy a sunset on the beach or an afternoon picnic in the recreation grounds and Enbrook Park. You can look at the historical monuments and structures or enjoy a cool drink at the many Pubs and Bars. Sandgate is diverse, in people, geography and community life and enjoys a beach stretching the length of the village with the Folkestone Rowing Club located in the main part of the village. One of the main employers in the area is Saga which has its headquarters on the site of Enbrook House next to St Paul's Church. In terms of schooling, Sandgate has a Primary School which is on Coolinge Lane. Further schooling and larger supermarkets can be found in the adjoining towns.
