"Just a short walk from Cowes town centre resides this pretty little red brick, two bedroom residence "Ruby Cottage". Available with no onward chain complications, it's a perfect home for those buyers looking for a slightly older character property. Upon entry into the hallway, on your left there is a cosy sized lounge with stripped wood flooring and to your right is the second reception room, presently used as a dining area - it features an open fireplace and provides plenty of built in storage space beneath the stairs.
At the rear of the house is the newly fitted kitchen with soft closing doors and drawers and new inset electric oven and gas hob - all just waiting to be used for the first time. On the first floor, bedroom one resides in the front aspect and is a double of good size, whilst a newly fitted white bathroom suite featuring a claw bath occupies the rear of the house. A new boiler was installed last year in the large airing cupboard in the bathroom. The top floor is taken up by a double bedroom which offers an excellent elevated view over Cowes and the Solent. The rear garden is a gem and features dual decked areas for maximising the morning and evening sun as well as a lawn area leading to a useful storage shed at the bottom. There are flower beds containing a fig tree, bay tree, grape vine, blackcurrant bush and lavender's and room to grow some vegetables too! I knew as soon as I walked through the door to Ruby Cottage, and took in the pretty garden and ses view, that it would make a perfect home for me, The cottage is full of light and the back garden is a very peaceful place to enjoy after a hard day's work but also has lots of room for a party barbeque!
Cowes has a number of excellent shops, many catering for the yachting fraternity. The town also has an array of fashionable clothing shops, delicatessens, cafes, restaurants and lively pubs. There is also a high-speed passenger catamaran service to Southampton
