Mid-century character with a modern twist ..

Although built as a split-level bungalow in 1951, the property was uniquely designed from the outset to allow the addition of an upper storey.

After finding and authenticating the original concept drawings for the upper storey, the current owner was granted planning permission in 2016 to add the first floor extension to complete the vision of the original architect and, in doing so, conserve a unique piece of architectural heritage for Welwyn Garden City.

Welwyn Garden City has a fine range of shops including John Lewis and the Howard Centre, all set into attractive shopping squares lined with flowering cherry trees. In addition, there are first class schools together with comprehensive sporting facilities including three 18 hole golf courses and an entertainment centre at Campus West.
