"There is no doubt what will sell this home - the kitchen/family room - it is a showstopper! Extended out from the back of the house, it is exactly the sort of open plan space that more and more families ask for. Add this to the extensive accommodation throughout the rest of the house and its prime Old Basing location, and it is easy to see why we are expecting plenty of interest.

The property sits close to the centre of Old Basing village, which has an attractive core of historical buildings and a range of small shops, three pubs with restaurants and infant and junior schools (both rated as outstanding in their latest 'Ofsted' reports). The major town of Basingstoke lies around two miles to the west and this has a mainline rail service into London Waterloo of around 45 minutes. The M3 motorway is easily reached at junctions 5 or 6.

Open up the front door and the hallway will lead you directly into the kitchen at the back of the house. There is plenty of natural light from an 'atrium' styled central skylight (in addition to the two bow windows and French doors) and tiled flooring (with under floor heating) serves to emphasize the sense of space on offer. One end is used as a living area and the other forms the high quality kitchen, which has plenty of natural wood finish cupboards with polished granite work surfaces. There is also a large central island that houses the gas hob and also doubles as a breakfast bar. In addition there are integrated appliances including full-length fridge and freezer, double oven, microwave and dishwasher. Adjoining the kitchen is a large utility/laundry room.

There is open access from the living area into the formal dining room and glazed double doors lead on into the sitting room at the front of the house should anyone need a bit of peace and quiet. The ground floor is completed by a downstairs cloakroom and a large integrated garage (with access through the utility room).

The first floor has five bedrooms (all being a decent size) and two separate bathrooms which have been refitted and have a top quality 'hotel feel' about them, particularly the main bathroom which is large enough to accommodate a shower cubicle in addition to the bath and has a very attractive moulded 'his and her' wash basins.

Externally, there is driveway parking in front of the house and to the rear there is a very private garden with a paved patio and a good size lawn.
