"Lovingly updated, this two bedroom maisonette is a delightful mix of period appeal and stylish upgrades, with a sunny south facing garden to boot.

Brickworks Says The devotion poured into this charming maisonette by the current owners is clear to see. Stepping in after a short flight of stairs, the flat opens up into the kitchen diner, the heart of this home. Here, the stainless steel worktops and the custom built plywood units are both practical and pleasing. At the back, stairs lead down to a pretty, private garden. It is big enough to comfortably house a shed and eating area, plus ample growing space to keep green fingers happy.

The living room, with a rather wonderful original fireplace, feels like a retreat, somewhere to cosy up and unwind. Similarly, the main bedroom is an oasis of calm. Painted in soothing ochre yellow and duck egg blue that match the original tiles in the fireplace, there are bespoke storage cupboards large enough for almost any wardrobe. For some serious relaxation, head to the updated bathroom, where you can luxuriate in the fabulous roll top bath.

Heysham Road sits happily between Stamford Hill, Seven Sisters, Green Lanes and Stoke Newington. Being between these four neighbours means you re never far from a decent coffee shop, foodie hotspots or place to mingle. There are green spaces on your doorstep, too, including the West Reservoir Centre, where you can dip your toes into some wild swimming. And having your pick of stations nearby means you can easily explore beyond the local vicinity when the mood takes you.

The Owners Say We ve put a lot of love into our home, and we ll miss our snug living room in winter and our sunny south facing garden in summer. What I love about these upstairs maisonettes is the feeling of it being more of a house than a flat the high ceilings, open spaces, and stairs create a spacious but cosy living space. It s perfect for a couple or person looking for a homely place to live.

We also love the location. It s close to the tube to get into town or the overground to get East, but also there are countless local walks; along the canal with a stop at the Anchor and Hope pub, round the reservoir path to the West Reservoir Centre for a swim, followed by a trip to Stoke Newington Church street for lunch or a car boot sale in Dalston. There are so many options! The neighbourhood is friendly and accommodating, and we ll miss our lovely neighbours. We couldn t recommend Heysham Road more.
