From here you can also hop onto the East London Line straight up into the city through to Whitechapel. (If Blackfriars suits you best, try walking 5 mins to Queens Road station). With so many buses sweeping through it's easy to take the scenic route if you'd rather. Add to this that Greenwich and Blackheath are both a 5 minute drive (10 on a bus) and your weekends are looking a bit special.
