Introduction
Rent to Buy is a government backed scheme which aims to ease the transition from renting to buying. So if you-re struggling to get on the property ladder, by opting for a m!ne home you will benefit from a reduced rate of rent, usually around 20% lower than you-d pay to a private landlord. This means that with the money you save, you-ll be able to build up a deposit at the same time and buy your home after five years.

Eligibility Criteria
To reserve a m!ne home you must:

- Be at least 18 years old at the time of signing your tenancy agreement
- Be a first-time buyer or returning to the market after a relationship breakdown
- Not currently own another residential property
- Be able to evidence you are working at the time of the initial letting
- Have insufficient funds/deposit to purchase a property on the open market
- Have the -Right to Rent- in the UK (as defined by government guidelines)
- Not be in receipt of Housing Benefit or Universal Credit (housing element) payments at the point of signing your tenancy agreement
- Not have any outstanding credit issues and be able to pass a m!ne credit check. Please note if you have any CCJs or IVAs this will be an automatic refusal.
