Each Spring, this area (as well as the rear garden and the front of the house) is carpeted by a variety of bulbs.
DIRECTIONS
from Sherborne proceed by the A352 road towards Dorchester. At the junction with the A3030 turn left (signposted Sturminster Newton) Pass through Alweston, them downhill as far as the Holwell signpost. Bear right here off the A3030 and continue along the road for about 2 miles. The approach to the very spread out village of Holwell is over a single track bridge. Stay on this road past the Nursery school, then bear left just after the school, where after descending a hill, the Stony Lane finger signpost will be seen. Turn left into Stony Lane and Oakside Croft will be found after about 200 yards on the left hand side.
