"A delightful character village cottage within just a short walk of the village centre and an ideal first purchase, retirement or investment
* ENTRANCE LOBBY * SITTING ROOM/DINER * FITTED KITCHEN * BATHROOM * 2 BEDROOMS * HALL * FRONT GARDEN * REAR COURTYARD AREA
SITUATION
The cottage comes to the market full of charm and character and most attractively presented by the present owners. There are numerous period features which exist within the cottage including exposed beams, etc, and this has been blended skilfully with modern fittings including recently totally refitted kitchen, etc. Externally there is a pretty walled garden at the front and to the rear a level decked courtyard area and storage. The cottage is situated in a very pleasant position not far from the centre of the village and therefore just a stone's throw from all the local amenities and facilities.
Silverton is extremely popular and favoured situated on the eastern side of the Exe valley north of Exeter and surrounded by some of the county's finest rolling countryside. The village enjoys an excellent range of local facilities and amenities including an excellent general store with integrated butcher and deli area, there is a post office and in addition there are churches of varying denominations together with a very well regarded primary school. There is a modern village hall and a very good health centre and three public houses. There are country walks close by all around the village and the nearby National Trust house at Killerton with its wonderful gardens, grounds and woodlands is only about 2 miles or so away.
Silverton is just over 8 miles north of Exeter and just over 7 miles south of Tiverton. For those needing fast access to the M5 motorway this is available at either junction 28 at Cullompton which is about 6 miles, or at Sowton where the Met Office is located which is also about 6 miles away. There is a mainline railway station at Exeter or Tiverton Parkway, Sampford Peverell, and access to Exeter Airport is also quite handy being about 8 miles distant.
