DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION

Situated just a short distance from the village centre, this super, period cottage has just undergone a substantial programme of renovation, after being in the same familial ownership for many years. Now benefitting from gas fired central heating, sympathetic double glazing, along with a new kitchen, bathroom suite and redecoration/carpeting, the cottage is presented to a high standard, but still retains much of its character and charm.

The accommodation is well proportioned and very well laid out with a good sized lounge and dining room at the front and a breakfast room that leads through to a newly fitted kitchen at the rear. Also, and quite unusual for this age and type of property, there is a useful utility room and ground floor WC the is accessed from the breakfast room. On the first floor are two generous double rooms, a single bed room and a large bathroom.

Outside, there is a very pleasant paved courtyard to the rear, which is large enough for a patio table and chairs. On road parking can be found directly in front of the cottage and the village car park is just a few yards around the corner. In addition to providing extra parking, the community run shop and post office are also situated in the car park. There are two public houses just a short stroll down Bullen St and additionally, the village benefits from a local Church and a well respected primary school. For the sport orientated, there is a well supported cricket club at the far end of the village.

Despite being a quintessential Devon village, surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside, Thorverton enjoys fantastic access to Exeter (circa 5 miles) and Tiverton (circa 7 miles), with their myriad of services and transport connections.

In essence, the cottage provides any purchaser the opportunity to purchase a beautifully presented village cottage that is ready for immediate occupation.
