"An extremely well presented period 2 bedroom terraced home in a great location, close to the shops in Heavitree and Magdalen Street, plus the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
* LOUNGE * DINING ROOM * KITCHEN * 2 BEDROOMS * FIRST FLOOR BATHROOM * LOVELY, WEST FACING COURTYARD GARDEN *
DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION
This extremely well presented city home has been sympathetically updated and improved since being constructed so, in addition to the many lovely period features that have been retained, such as stripped pine flooring, period doors, stained glass and a fireplace, it also offers modern conveniences, including gas fired central heating and sealed unit double glazing.
As with many properties of this age, number 50 is very well laid out, with a convenient entrance lobby that leads into the main hallway and ground floor accommodation, which includes a bay fronted lounge, separate (and good sized) dining room and a kitchen. Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms (the main bedroom, being east facing, lets the morning sun stream in) and a good sized bathroom
(sometimes unusual in the city, as many houses of this type have a bathroom on the ground floor away from the bedrooms). Outside, there is a pretty, west facing courtyard garden that is the perfect place to catch the afternoon and evening sunshine after a day at work!
Baker St is very well located close to the edges of Heavitree and St Leonards. There is a wide range of shops and amenities (including a supermarket) in Fore Street, Heavitree and some wonderful specialist shops (including a well respected butchers and fish mongers) in Magdalen Road, St Leonards. Both areas are just a short walk away and offer a wealth of other services, such as schooling. Although Sherlock Holmes never resided in this Baker St, is is wholly possible that a Dr Watson may have done, as the road is also just a short walk from The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital - making it a wonderfully easy commute to work by foot. The area is very well serviced by a regular bus route going into the city centre and Baker St itself offers residents parking.
