"A very spacious and characterful VICTORIAN town house, located close to the town square and town amenities
Entrance Hall, Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Utility/Cloakroom, 4 Bedrooms, Cloakroom, Bathroom, Courtyard Style Garden, Gas Central Heating
DESCRIPTION Situated just off the town square, this 3 storey town house offers very spacious accommodation with an easy to maintain garden to the rear. All of the rooms are of an excellent size with many original and period features including original style fireplaces, exposed timbers and with stripped doors and floorboards to most rooms. There is a bespoke handmade solid wood kitchen plus solid worktops and an inset Belfast sink which continues the characterful feel of the house. Gas central heating is installed and the property underwent a programme of works in the mid 1990's when it was re-wired and re-plumbed to bring the house up to date. It has been tenanted for a number of years and therefore would benefit from some cosmetic improvements in places.
Outside to the rear is an enclosed garden, unusually large for a town house such as this. The garden is presented in two parts, a paved seating area immediately to the rear and a further large area of timber decking, all created with ease of maintenance in mind.
CREDITON is an old Mid Devon market town with a wealth of history, being situated just 7.5 miles north-west of the Cathedral City of Exeter with the M5 motorway some 3 miles further on. The town is surrounded by unspoilt farmland in an area of great natural beauty. There is a regular daily bus service to Exeter plus trains every hour to Exeter and Barnstaple and a local town bus which covers most urban areas. The town is most famous for its ancient parish church and for being the birthplace of St Boniface in 680 AD. It has excellent schooling facilities at both senior and junior levels and a sports and leisure centre incorporating a superb swimming pool. The town has an excellent selection of shops with a Morrisons and a large Tesco superstore/petrol filling station.
