With a date plaque of 1870, Farmers Cottage is a deceptively spacious Grade II listed terraced cottage on the fringe of St Mary's Square in the higher Brixham area. St Mary's Square is one of the oldest parts of Brixham, affectionately known as "Cow Town" reflecting its origins in the one time surrounding farming communities.  Local shops are virtually on the doorstep with the town centre and waterfront being less than a mile away. The cottage offers unexpectedly large rooms for a property of this type with the added bonus of an enclosed garden behind.  On the ground floor is a 24' long through living room and galley style kitchen.  The three bedrooms, bathroom and handy storeroom or study are on the upper two floors.  The exposed beams in the top bedroom are likely to be ships' timbers from the great storm of 1866.  There is gas fired central heating.  The cottage would now benefit from some re-decoration and general improvement offering great potential to create a truly individual character home.
