"Every now and then, a property comes onto the market for sale and offers something a little bit special. It is our belief that Stores House in the Churchtown part of Illogan village does just that.
A buyer will need the vision, determination and purse strings to modernise the accommodation and redefine the status of some of the rooms to turn them into a more practical arrangement and create a fine modern family home.
The most surprising aspect are the grounds. Twin gates open onto a hard standing yard, ideal for parking and with a 14' outbuilding. To the side of the yard is a large, level lawn garden plot that runs parallel to the public highway and offers scope for a variety of uses (subject to all planning consents obtained).
The civil parish of Illogan lies in West Cornwall between the towns of Camborne and Redruth, Pool to the South and the dramatic grandeur of the North Cornish Coast.
Illogan is a Celtic personal name found in both Cornwall and Brittany, and is the name of a Celtic Saint who is thought to have helped bring Christianity to the area and who gave his name to the village church. The village is well served with a variety of everyday amenities including a grocery store, a post office, 2 GP surgeries, a pharmacy, public house, a hair and beauty salon, places of worship and regular public transport links into Camborne and Redruth.
