"Built for modern family life; a tech savvy, generously proportioned best in class home with a location to match. 6 bedrooms, gated in and out driveway, south facing gardens, 5,300 Sq Ft

Description

Wonderful proportions, wide open spaces and beautiful finishes define this modern family home. Room by room, double doors open to reveal one sizeable space after another. The bones of the house are outstanding, and its smart home status means that AV, security, and lighting technology are all considered. Throughout the house, there is a successful use of glazing that immediately catches the eye. In the hallway, a soaring atrium floods natural light to both floors, complemented by a striking bespoke staircase in metal and glass.

The kitchen and living room also feature walls of glazing. Here, sliding doors of an L shaped configuration open out to a terrace and a south facing lawn. In this space, comfortable seating centres around an inviting gas fired contemporary fire, and a German made Rempp K chen is made to the highest standard with a Corian worktop and wood breakfast island. Spanning from this open plan space are several good sized rooms, all versatile, however, currently used as a study, playroom, and gym. The utility room is similarly large and leads to a double garage.

There is a wonderful cinema and pool table room, elegant with a dark timber herringbone floor but also a sense of fun. The aesthetic is strong and unfussy with an emphasis on high quality materials and light. This is not confined to the ground floor. Upstairs, a spacious landing extends to six bedrooms, two with en suites and two separate family bathrooms. The principal bedroom features a glass wall with Juliet balcony and Velux windows. The feel is completely luxurious with a smart walk in dressing area and en suite. From one of the guest bedrooms, a living roof of wildflowers and grasses enliven the view.

This smart cream and grey rendered house stands halfway along Torkington Road, flanked by an electric controlled double gated entrance and tall hedging all around. Set back from the road, it s quite private.

There is a lovely large driveway and an integral double garage providing further space. On both sides, there is access to the sun filled rear garden. Here, the plot opens out further with a vast lawn and terrace framing the house. At one end, is an Astroturf play area with a sunken trampoline, and at the other, is a patio area with a shed and space for a barbecue.
