"18 Abbey Street is believed to date the back to the mid 18th century, formally a nail factory, carpenters and cart makers. The property has had various uses over the years, in the sixties it became the village hardware store and in the 1980s, an antique shop. In 2008 the property was completely refurbished into a most individual residence.
The property comprises a sitting room with a wood floor throughout, a wood burner and exposed ceiling timbers. The kitchen/breakfast room is particularly spectacular with ceramic tiled floor, an extensive range of base cabinets, work surfaces, fitted washer/dryer, dishwasher, 6-burner gas cooking range and a further central island with works surfaces. The morning room/study overlooks the courtyard. To the first floor is a part vaulted landing which is approx. 25? 6" long providing access to the master bedroom with large walk-in wardrobe and a luxuriously en suite shower room. There are 2 smaller bedrooms and a 4th larger bedroom with a vaulted ceiling. The family bathroom is well appointed with a panelled bath and separate tiled/glazed shower cubicle. Outside, the courtyard garden measures approx. 26ft in length and is surrounded by brick and flint walls with raised flower beds and adjacent to this is parking for one vehicle.Directions
