An established four bedroom detached house sitting in an enviable position over-looking paddocks in the popular village of West Wickham.

The property is approached up a sloping driveway, well-set back from the road. There is ample parking on the front driveway and a front garden primarily laid to lawn: the house is screened from the road by trees.

Entering through the front door there is a large hallway with space for a study area, and stairs rising to the first floor. A door on your right hand side enters straight into an integral garage with space for one car, as well as a door to a cloakroom underneath the stairs. The ground floor accommodation is spacious and incredibly versatile, with three separate reception rooms and a large kitchen/breakfast room. The kitchen is modern and fitted with an array of units to base and eye level, a central kitchen island and bi-fold doors leading onto the rear garden. There is also a space for a dining table and sofa in the kitchen. Upstairs in the property there are four generously sized double bedrooms, with a main family bathroom, separate WC and en-suite for the master.

Outside the rear garden is north west-facing (depends how strict you are being) and enjoys the sun all day. There is a patio adjacent to the property and large area which is laid to lawn. To the rear of the garden is a large shed and vegetable patches. The garden enjoys fantastic views over neighbouring paddocks.

West Wickham is a rural yet accessible village in south east Cambridgeshire close to the Suffolk and Essex borders; we understand that the parish covers some 2,931 acres. Its' straight southern border follows the ancient track of Wool Street that divides it from the parishes of Linton and Horseheath. At the time of the Domesday Book, the parish contained three settlements: Wickham at the centre, plus the hamlets of Enhale, now Yen Hall, and Streetly which is now Streetly End.
West Wickham village itself offers a day nursery in the village hall: the property lies within the catchment area of Linton Village College and of the Cambridge 6th Form colleges, notably Hills Road (one of the leading 6th Form colleges in the UK). The village is about twelve miles from the historic university city of Cambridge and also offers convenient access to the market towns of Newmarket and Saffron Walden: it is an ideal location from which to enjoy access to a rural environment without feeling isolated. The location is also convenient for its' access to the A11, M11, Stansted Airport and Whittlesford Parkway station (connecting into London Liverpool Street). Cambridge is a shopping, cultural and recreational centre in its own right with a commute from the city's station taking from 45 minutes to London Kings Cross.
