"This delightful riverside lodge was once the much loved home of author Leslie Thomas. Having bought the property as a `week-end bolt-hole` he and his wife loved the property so much that they spent most of their time there.

Situation
The property is delightfully situated and accessed over a foot bridge and the lock gates. Marlow town centre is just a short level walk away and offers an excellent variety of shops including individual boutiques, restaurants and leisure facilities. The railway station links to London Paddington with mainline connection to London Marylebone via the Chiltern Line at High Wycombe.

Accommodation
Part-glazed front door leading into a small porch area which opens into a sitting room with wood paneling to both ceiling and walls with brick-built open fireplace; open to dining area with skylights and sliding patio doors to rear garden. The kitchen is fitted with wall and base units with laminate worktops, stainless steel double bowl sink and drainer with plumbing for dishwasher and washing machine, electric induction hob with oven below and extractor above; opening into dining room. There is a cloakroom with fully tiled walls with white suite of low level W.C. and wash basin. The shower room comprises shower cubicle, pedestal wash basin and low level W.C. with heated towel rail and window to rear. The master bedroom is an excellent size, stretching the full width of the house with windows to both front and rear. The en-suite bathroom has fully tiled walls and is fitted with a white suite comprising a panelled bath with mixer tap and shower attachment together with a large ?rain shower? head, wash basin and heated towel rail. Bedroom two is a good sized room with sliding patio doors to rear garden and fitted wardrobes, bedroom three also has fitted wardrobes and airing cupboard with fitted shelving and storage.

Outside
The property is accessed over a foot bridge and the lock gates. The garden is mostly laid to lawn with mature trees providing and extremely secluded and private space. There is a mooring of approximately 35ft to the front of the property together with a second mooring approximately 26.5ft which is accessed via a side gate to the rear of the island.



Directions
Proceed down Marlow High Street and take the left turn at the mini roundabout into Station Road, take the third turning right at the Prince of Wales Public House into Mill Road; proceed down Mill Road towards the River, park and proceed on foot over the bridge onto Lock Island.
