Description

Situated on the exclusive Harleyford gated development, within close proximity of the estate s amenities, this detached log cabin is the ideal lock up and leave holiday home. The property is quietly situated in an elevated leafy setting amongst the trees and communal gardens, with gorgeous views over the Thames Valley. The estate provides 24 hour security and is accessed via a private gated entrance. Internally the house is well presented in a modern, Scandinavian influenced style, with light and airy rooms and a modern finish throughout.

The lodge is entered into a hallway with a study area; this leads to the two good size double bedrooms on the ground floor, one of which has an en suite shower room. There is also a bathroom with a P shaped bath. Upstairs, the impressive good size living area has a high, vaulted ceiling and opens through a high glazed gable end, to the rear balcony looking towards the Thames Valley. The living area is open plan to the kitchen which is well equipped with plenty of storage and a number of built in appliances.

Outside
The house has access to the extensive 160 acre grounds of the estate, parts of which can be attributed to the 18th century landscape designer Capability Brown. The estate sits between the Temple and Hurley locks on the river Thames, with excellent walks along the riverbanks and through the estate s own marina. Location

Harleyford is an idyllic private country estate situated on the Henley Road, about 2.5 miles southwest of Marlow town centre, on the banks of the river Thames in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The estate is dominated by the Grade I listed Georgian manor house, designed by Sir Robert Taylor, and features an award winning marina and beautifully landscaped 18 hole golf course. There is a pleasant 1.5 mile walk along the riverbank into Marlow itself.

Marlow is a popular location for families and the town offers a superb range of retailers, with an eclectic mix of local independent and national names. There are bars, cafes and restaurants dotted around the town offering destinations for any occasion. Just outside the town, the area opens out to glorious rolling countryside and a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Outdoor pursuits are plentiful, as are golf, football, cricket and rugby clubs. For commuters, the town has a train station to Paddington via Maidenhead and the M40 M4 motorways are accessed from the A404 M which passes the town.
