"Overview
House Network are pleased to offer to the market this well presented and substantial four bedroom detached house in the desirable village location of Tingewick, Buckinghamshire.
The property was relatively recently built in 1997 on an old orchard by Tay Homes, (now Redrow) and was the largest on this small development. It is positioned next to open space and protected trees, in a quiet road. The accommodation it offers is spacious, consisting of an open, square entrance hall, leading to three separate receptions rooms, built-in kitchen/breakfast room, utility, conservatory and cloakroom. The living room has an Adam's fireplace with 'Living Flame' gas fire into a traditionally built chimney. On the first floor, the master bedroom has its own en-suite, with three further good sized/double bedrooms. The family bathroom has an additional shower cubicle as well as bath. All ceilings are coved and there are quality PVCu double glazed windows and doors with multi-security locks as well as C/H throughout. Outside there is an enclosed garden, detached double garage and private driveway with parking for two cars.
The property measures approximately 1422 sq ft.
Tingewick is an idyllic village, surrounded by beautiful countryside, yet is within easy reach of amenities, high street shops and services. Public transport runs directly from Tingewick Post Office Stores and village hall, to market towns and bus stations at Buckingham
(only 2.7 m), to Brackley (7 m), and to railway stations at North Bicester (7.5 m) and Banbury (16 m). Tingewick is commuter distance of around 65 to central London, via M40, or the M1. The village has its own nursery and infant school, while three small middle schools in Buckingham have door to door transport. Tingewick is in the catchment area for the Royal Latin Grammar, Akeley Wood and Stowe Independent schools (4 m distant). A bus between Oxford and Cambridge universities, runs hourly from Buckingham, also stopping at St Neots, Bedford, Milton Keynes and Bicester. Buckingham also boasts its own university. A relatively new road to re-route traffic out of the village was built at the same time as the estate, with noise absorbent road surfacing, embankment and plant screening. Every weekend at the old Finmere airfield is a large market, walking distance along the footpath.
