" When you think of Baker Street what springs to mind? Sherlock Holmes? The classic song? If you were “winding your way down in Baker Street” you’d want to live in a house that reflected the sentiment of the song and stirred the same type of emotions. Well, a three bedroom Victorian home with oodles of character and history is perfectly placed towards the bottom of this delightful lane and certainly stirs emotions as soon as you walk inside. So if you’re looking for a character home in the perfect location, this one is hard to beat. In fact as soon as you pull up you realise it’s not your ordinary house with off road parking (usually hard to find with this age of property) and plenty of front garden meaning the house feels peaceful being away from the road.More space was added in 2006 by way of conservatory and would be prefect to use as a dining room. Imagine soaking up the late summer sun with a glass of wine? And with virtually the whole house being decorated, front weather boards replaced and the garden completely landscaped, the next owner will have little need to put their hands in their pockets. If storage space is important, there is plenty in bedrooms 1 and 2 with additional eaves storage on the top floor.

What the Owner says:

When we looked for a character house we couldn’t find any with as much space and storage as this one. We love the location as it’s quite a long way from the main road and with the big front garden it feels really peaceful. We thought it was a really interesting house and love the character. We think the bathroom was once an old outside toilet! We had thought about moving the bathroom upstairs but it would have made one of the bedrooms really small so we decided to keep it downstairs. This is part of the original character of the house anyway and when you go round the house you see lots more character like the low head height in some of the door frames and gorgeous beams in the top bedroom.
