Situation The tiny hamlet of Curland is situated in the Blackdown Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village is believed to have been founded pre 1700s and is close to a number of pretty villages, including Staple Fitzpaine and West Hatch, both having popular gastropubs, the Farmers Arms at West Hatch and the Greyhound Inn at Staple Fitzpaine. The house is well placed for good communications with easy access to both the A358 and the A303. The property is within the catchment area for Thurlbear infant and junior schools and Taunton, the County Town, is readily accessible, where there is a wide range of shopping, recreational and scholastic facilities, as well as access to Taunton's train station and the M5 motorway. A door leads to a walk in pantry with fitted shelving and double glazed window. There is a half glazed door to rear porch with door to outside and also a door to the downstairs cloakroom with WC and a window.
On the first floor there is a landing with double glazed window to the side and double doors to a built in airing cupboard with hot water tank and inset wooden shelving. There is a hatch to the roof space and doors to the bedrooms. There are three bedrooms, all with good views and a shower room with enclosed tiled shower cubicle, WC, wash basin and window to side. Outside The front of the house has an enclosed area of garden and an attached brick built store. The garden extends along the side of the house where there is a greenhouse, timber store and access to the main area of garden, which is laid to lawn and planted with a number of specimen trees and shrubs. There is a timber pigeon loft and patio area with a gate, which leads through to an enclosed parking area with a pillared entrance and a five bar gate. Directions From Taunton take the B3170 towards Corfe. Just after passing over the motorway bridge turn left signposted Staple Fitzpaine. Continue into the village and past The Greyhound public house. Proceed out of the village, taking the turning to Curland on the left hand side. Continue to the grass triangle and bear right and take the next right and then turn immediately left and the property will be found on the right hand side.
