Vendors Comments;

THATS ENTERTAINMENT!
We have always lived in the area, and we were looking for a larger place partly for our growing family, and partly because we do a lot of entertaining, say the current owners,, recalling the first time she and husband first saw 38 Ringley Drive. As soon as we set eyes on the house, and saw the size and flow of the main rooms, we knew we just had to have it. Have it they did and they have thoroughly enjoyed living here for over 13 years.

The reception rooms are certainly wonderfully spacious. Indeed, the dining area alone seats 14. But what exactly does the owner mean by the flow of the rooms? The layout of the rooms creates the ideal entertainment space, she explains. With each room linking into the next, and with access into the garden from both the kitchen/morning room area and the lounge/dining room, you can comfortably accommodate large numbers of guests and they can all circulate and mingle easily.

The house also boasts an extra TV room downstairs which as the owner points out is ideal if you have teenage children. They can sit in there and watch their own programmes to their hearts content, without imposing their choice of viewing and listening on everyone else. Perfect!

A substantial modern house, dating from around the late 1960s and considerably extended and improved over the years to offer some 5,000 square feet of high-quality family accommodation, the property stands in well-established gardens with many mature shrubs offering both privacy and seclusion in the heart of one of the most desirable areas of Greater Manchester. Whitefield is not only very attractive, but it is also a wonderfully peaceful, safe place and since the house stands on a private drive, there is no through traffic either. Add in the fact that there are supermarkets and excellent independent schools nearby, and it is the ideal place to bring up a family and lead a nice quiet, private life.

Yet at the same time, Whitefield is only some 6-7 miles from Manchester city centre, with a Metro station close by, the M60 motorway just minutes away, and Manchester Airport also within easy reach. So, in a very real sense, the house offers the very best of both worlds peace and tranquillity, allied to first-class transport links.

All in all, then, 38 Ringley Drive would be the perfect home for a successful professional couple working either in the city centre or further afield, with a growing family and lots of friends!

In the time that they have lived here, the owners have added a conservatory, and significantly upgraded the kitchen.

Now, with their children grown up and flown the nest, they are looking to move to something just a little smaller. However, they have no intention of leaving the area - they like living in Whitefield far too much to want to move elsewhere.

Not surprisingly, its the exceptional spaciousness of the house that they will miss most which is why they don't intend to downsize too drastically. After all, they say, we still want to have plenty of potential for entertaining!
