" Elegant yet fun is one way to describe this fabulous home. Superb views. A west facing garden. A cosy wood burning stove. This is a home made for entertaining. This is Freehold at its best! EPC-D

About the location Freehold is one of our most requested areas of Lancaster. Probably because it's one of the greenest! Residents initially move here due to sought after schools and excellent motorway links. They like the fact you can walk into the city, yet just a 5 minute stroll brings you to the park. They tell us there is a great sense of community, whether it's just getting to know your neighbours through to joining in the local events at The Gregson Centre. We love it as it's one of the few places you can get a period home with a garden!

Williamsons Park and the Boys Grammar School are also just around the corner making this area very popular with family buyers! What we like... This home may well have one of the best views in Lancaster! From the rear of the home you can overlook the city and out towards the Bay and Lakes. On a clear day you can even see Blackpool Tower! The extension to the rear has also made a big difference to the property giving you a great living/kitchen space which all the family can enjoy. A brief description As you enter this home from the front you will find yourself in the hallway which has access to both reception rooms on this level and stairs leading both up and down. The main living room has a pleasing aspect over the rear of the home and there is also a generous sized study room on the ground floor. To the lower ground floor there is a wonderful sized open plan living, kitchen and dining space with a useful wc and doors out to the rear garden.

Once you are up to the first floor you will find two generous sized bedrooms and a three piece shower room whilst the top floor offers you two more bedrooms and a three piece bathroom suite. From the rear of this home there are fantastic views and also a private and enclosed garden which all the family can enjoy. There is ample space for you to store your coats and shoes so you can keep them out of the way.

The owners have the main lounge to the rear of the ground floor. This room has a rather grand and spacious feel with original features to add character. The tastefully decorated room has a main focal point to the centre of the room which is an open fire set in an Adams style fire surround. The lounge has a pleasing aspect which looks out over the garden to the rear of the home. Also to the ground floor there is another reception room to the front of the property which has been used as a study room by the current owners. The double glazed sash window to the front elevation enjoys the morning sunshine and there is an original style fireplace to the centre of the room. Lower ground floor As you are walking down the stairs to this lower level of the home you will find there is a rather spacious cellar room on your left hand side which is the perfect space to store all your bits and pieces. Further storage is also available down the side and underneath the staircase which would be ideal for all the families coats and shoes.

The owners have extended this part of the home and by doing so you now can enjoy this space to its full potential. We feel this is the perfect space for entertaining your family and friends when they visit thanks to the open plan layout. The seating area in front of the multi fuel stove is the ideal place where you can relax and unwind after a long hard day. The kitchen is open plan to this area and the owners have really made the most of this space, adding plenty of built in storage for all your kitchen equipment. There is space for all the white goods you would want to have and a built in oven, hob and extractor fan is also available.

To the far end of the modern kitchen there is space where you can dine and enjoy your evening meals whilst enjoying looking out over the well maintained garden to the rear of the property. First and second floors Once you are up to the first floor landing you will see there is an original stained glass window and access to all the rooms available on this level and there is a further flight of stairs which leads you up to the top floor.

The master bedroom is located on the first floor and is a truly wonderful sized double bedroom. The owners have decorated this room in a soft pallet of colours which buyers will no doubt appreciate and thanks to this there is a real bright and airy feel. Just imagine waking up in this room and being able to enjoy the wonderful aspect looking out towards the castle and the Lakes in the distance. Also to the first floor there is a well proportioned single bedroom which looks out over the front of the property an would be ideal for a children's room or a study depending on your needs. Finally on the first floor there is a three piece shower room which has been tastefully designed and has retained the original stained glass window to add a little character.
