" This Grade II listed cottage, dating from the mid 17th century, has been thoroughly refurbished and extended in recent years whilst retaining many original features to create a wonderfully atmospheric and inviting home. The front door leads directly into the dining room with a magnificent inglenook fireplace and open hearth. Shutters to the windows give privacy and the floor is engineered oak, which continues through the ground floor. A pretty latched door with stained glass panel leads past the utility room, which includes base units with granite surfaces, a stainless steel sink, plumbing for washing machine and space for a tumble dryer. Off the utility room is a guest cloakroom with wc and hand basin. The kitchen has been meticulously planned to provide a generous range of painted units with light granite surfaces, integral fridge and freezer, dishwasher and a Rangemaster professional cooker. There is a double larder cupboard, deep storage drawers and pull-out recycling bins. The kitchen also benefits from under floor heating, inset lighting and a small window to the exterior. Beyond the kitchen is the superbly extended sitting room. It has a vaulted ceiling with Velux windows, a wood burner set on a brick hearth with adjacent log store, and folding doors across the width of the rear to allow access onto the terrace and garden. From the inner lobby, a latched door conceals the stairs leading to the first floor. The master bedroom has a front aspect, an original open fireplace, window shutters two double wardrobes and additional storage. The second double bedroom has views to the rear over the garden and a built in wardrobe. The bathroom is very attractive, retaining exposed brickwork and beams but with modern white fittings, including a bath with hand held shower, a walk in shower with glass screen, WC and basin with tiled under floor heating. A latched door to a further staircase leads to the third double bedroom with eaves storage.
