SUMMARY
A stunning brick and flint family home standing in an exceptional
elevated rural setting adjoining Ellesborough Golf Course.
DESCRIPTION
This fabulous 'cottage' has to all intents and purposes been
rebuilt by the current owners, who have used flair and imagination
to create a truly breathtaking home. Using traditional methods and
the highest quality materials, the owners have sympathetically
extended the accommodation to a really exceptional specification
and such attention to detail is rarely found.
Accommodation
On the ground floor the front door opens into the entrance hall,
with terracotta floor tiles which extend throughout the ground
floor. The kitchen/ breakfast room provides a real centre piece and
is the hub of the home, beautifully fitted with handmade solid wood
cabinets and crafted matching worktops, together with a central
island. A traditional brick range, complete with bressemer and
shelf over has been built to house a double range cooker. Double
casement doors lead out to a lovely sheltered patio. Off the
kitchen lies a generous double aspect family room with open
fireplace and casement doors to the front terrace. The cosy study
also enjoys a dual aspect and has an open fireplace. The central
hallway has the staircase to the first floor, a cloakroom and the
utility room. The guest suite is tucked away and has an en suite
shower room, which is finished in contemporary white with
skillfully cut bricks, which have been sealed and create stunning
tiling and splash backs.
On the first floor the beautifully polished solid oak floorboards
have been left exposed throughout and provide a perfect finish. The
main sitting room is on the first floor, with double casement doors
leading out to the garden. The impressive vaulted ceiling has the
wonderful exposed oak trusses, together with an exposed brick
chimney breast and open hearth. The master bedroom looks out over
the garden and has a contemporary white en suite shower room, with
quarry tiled floor and the same stunning sealed brick tiling. There
are two more double bedrooms on this floor, together with a family
bathroom.
Outside
The property is approached via a sliding electric gate, leading to
a parking and turning area. The quadruple garage (approx 1050sq ft)
is accessed via two sets of double doors and offers a fantastic
space for a car enthusiast or perhaps somebody who would like a
workshop. Steps lead up to a paved terrace to the front and side of
the property and a further short flight of steps lead up the main
area of garden. There is a large expanse of lawn, completely
enclosed by mature hedging providing complete privacy, together
with a small copse. To the north there is a spectacular view across
the Vale of Aylesbury and beyond. The plot as a whole is in excess
of half an acre.
