SITUATION AND AMENETIES Middleham is a traditional dales market town famous for its horse racing culture (being home to many well known trainers and owners) and Middleham Castle, which was once the childhood home of Richard III. The town has four public houses, restaurants, hotels/B&Bs, convenience store, antiques shop and a church. It also has a primary school and there are state secondary schools in Leyburn, Richmond, Bedale and Ripon. The nearest private schools are at Newton le Willows (Aysgarth Prep), Sedbergh and Barnard Castle. Buses connect from Middleham and Leyburn to Richmond, Hawes, Bedale and Ripon.

Located 2 miles from Leyburn, access to the A1 north/south is at Leeming Bar (12 miles) with mainline train stations at Northallerton (18 miles) and Darlington (24 miles). Airports are at Newcastle, Durham Tees Valley and Leeds/Bradford.

DESCRIPTION Hillside Farm is set just outside the racing town of Middleham, sitting in grounds of approximately 11.8 acres, the main house has four bedrooms and spacious living accommodation. It has the benefit of grass paddocks (circa 9.5 acres), additional access track to the main road from the yard, several modern portal-framed buildings, hardstanding yard, large parking area and a concrete helipad. There are two stone barns also which may have development potential, subject to obtaining all necessary consents and approvals.
