The bungalow is considered to be of cavity construction, the original external walls of reconstituted stone, the remainder being cement rendered under a pitched roof covered with plain tiles, and flat mineral felted secondary roofs. Sunnyhill is set in extensive semi-secluded grounds of approximately 0.4 of an acre (0.16 of a hectare) which are mostly laid to grass with shrubs and trees. Planning permission was recently applied for to demolish the existing bungalow and replace with 2 detached dwellings. This however was refused because the Local Authority felt that the property was outside the village envelope. Full details of the application can be found on the Purbeck District Council’s website https://planningsearch.purbeck-dc.gov.uk/PlanAppDisp.aspx?recno=46369.
