" A charming, characterful family residence in a stunning location with delightful southerly views over open fields towards Walcot Hall. Dating back to the 18th Century with mid 19th Century additions, this Grade II listed building has evolved over time and styles and is now presented as a period family home with extensive grounds and range of vernacular outbuildings which have immense scope for development.

GENERAL REMARKS Lower Gardens has a charming interior with a wealth of character including many original features. The accommodation provides a number of well proportioned reception rooms with the kitchen and quaintly named Den forming the hub of the home. Two separate staircases access the first floor with five bedrooms and two bathrooms with many rooms having a southerly aspect over the formal front lawns across the Ha Ha to open fields and the grounds of Walcot Hall. SITUATION Lydbury North is a large parish nestled in the South Shroipshire Hills in an area of outstanding natural beauty. At its heart, is the village of Lydbury North, surrounded by the hamlets of Brockton, Edgton, Plowden, Acton and Lower Down. It is just 4 miles from the market town of Bishops Castle with Shrewsbury and Ludlow providing a comprehensive range of facilities and access to the national road and rail network. Lydbury North has an Anglican church, primary school, a village hall, a pub and a community shop. The surrounding countryside is very scenic with Bury Ditches being one of the finest examples of an iron age fort in the country. OUTSIDE The grounds and outbuildings are a notable feature of the property as they extend to just under one acre. The gardens are a mixture of formal lawns with edging borders, a vegetable patch with several raised beds, fruit cages and greenhouse.
