Being sold as one entity. A large and spacious classic home and
property with Coach House and extra lot with outline planning
permission for another home. Incredible views of the Jurassic Coast
and the sea.
Highlands is a substantial detached house built in the 1930‘s by
Caddy a local builder renowned for quality houses in Lyme
Regis.
The house offers generously proportioned accommodation constructed
to an individual design with character features including extensive
wall panelling and an impressive staircase, half timbering to the
front elevation, wide bay windows etc. Whilst the property has been
generally well cared for it does now require updating.
It enjoys a sunny southerly aspect and is set in extensive gardens
of about 1 Acre in a private road Greenway, off Somers Road which
serves just 5 individual detached properties. This is a much sought
after residential area on the western edge of Lyme Regis with views
of the sea. The town centre and seafront are about 3 4 mile
away.
Tucked away in the top corner of the site is a Building Plot with
outline planning consent for a detached dwelling. This is included
in the sale and it is of course entirely the choice of the buyer
whether or not to undertake the development.
Lyme Regis is a picturesque coastal town noted for its many
character buildings, centuries old Cobb Harbour and unspoilt
surrounding countryside. The town centre provides good shopping
facilities for day to day needs and the larger centres of Taunton
and Exeter are both about 28 miles away. There is a main line
railway station at Axminster 6 miles inland . In Lyme Regis there
is also a sailing club, bowls, golf course, theatre and numerous
local societies.
The town is situated on the beautiful and unspoilt Devon and Dorset
Jurassic Coast awarded World Heritage Site status by UNESCO in
December 2001.
