The house is a period yet unlisted timber framed beamed cottage, (former farmhouse, circa 1690, divided into 3 then 2 farm workers cottages, and back to 1 cottage), with a weather-boarded 'overcoat', in the quintessential English village of Hernhill with its pretty village green, ancient pub and church and well regarded church primary school. The village is surrounded by apple, pear and cherry orchards, betwixt Canterbury (7 miles)/Whitstable (6 miles) and the market town of Faversham

(3 miles). There are good transport links: regular bus service; high speed train (approx. 58 minutes) to London St Pancras as well as regular mainline train services to London Victoria and Blackfriars; and 2 miles from junction 7 of the M2. There are also good links with the continent as Ashford International is a 30 minute drive. So, enjoy a country life, fabulous scenery and ancient woods all within easy reach of the bustling historic and shopping city of Canterbury with 2 universities, cathedral and annual arts festival and at Whitstable, a high street of little independent shops, sailing and water sports. Faversham has a twice weekly town market and a farmer's market and a great deli at Makenade. The Sportsman Michelin star restaurant is just up the road at Seasalter.
