A neat, bright and smartly finished one bedroom apartment, tranquilly appointed throughout. It‘s all sat happily on the first floor of a modest contemporary development amongst green communal grounds in Woodford, an increasingly popular sweet spot between Epping Forest and Roding Valley Park.
Lynwood Close itself is a peaceful no through road that‘s nonetheless handy for the North Circular and just a short stroll from South Woodford‘s tube station and attendant amenities, including the local landmark Art Deco cinema.
If you lived here
You‘ll be taking in the leafy treetop views from your balcony overlooking the grounds, ideal for a morning coffee. A word from the owner....
A huge draw of this flat when I first moved in was the really neighbourly feeling in the block, with everyone looking out for one another and doing their bit to keep it a welcoming and pleasant place to live. It is also very quiet at all times of the day or night, which was a huge bonus during lockdown! The fact that the caretaker Paul lives in the block has also been a huge advantage, with any maintenance issues quickly taken care of and the extensive communal gardens regularly mown and tended to. Whether sitting on the lawns outside the block, on the balcony by the front door or looking out from the large living room windows, you could be forgiven for thinking you weren t in London, since the flat is surrounded by trees, gardens and allotments. The location has also been very convenient for me. At my walking pace the tube station is 10 minutes away and the night service means you can still get home from town at any hour during the weekends. You can be on the North Circular or M11 in minutes and the bus from the end of Maybank Road will take you into Walthamstow in around a quarter of an hour. There are no allocated bays or resident permits on the road but i ve never had an issue finding somewhere to park.
