RG4 (Caversham) area guide

RG4 can be found by the Thames River about 45 miles west of London.
In 1106, the Shrine of Our Lady was established in Caversham. It became highly popular among pilgrims. By the 15th century, the statue had been painted silver, but was later destroyed by order of King Henry VIII in 1538, leaving only the well. The shrine has now been replaced in the Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady and St. Anne.
RG4 has a population of about 40,000. Over 32 per cent of the inhabitants are educated to a degree level, which is much higher than the national average of 20 per cent.

Some of the areas with the lowest average house prices include Whitby Court, Blossom Road and Nire Road, all with average prices of around £100,000 or under. Streets with the higher average values in the area include Dunsden Green, Sonning Gate and Foxhill Lane. Houses in this area tend to sell for just under £1 million.
Reading Golf Club is a private 18-hole golf course in RG4. The course is a par 70 totalling 6224 yards. You can golf there even if you are not a member; it just will cost a lot more.

In Emmer Green, you can find Reading Abbey Rugby Football Club. You can either chose to cheer on the local club or join a team and compete against other clubs.

The closest Railway Station to RG4 is the Reading Railway Station, located just south of the Thames.
