Description Manor House is a delightful attached period village house with white washed rendered elevations under a pitched slate roof. This centuries old house has well-proportioned accommodation of character and charm with many period features. There are 2 substantial reception rooms, a garden room, kitchen, utility and ground floor wet room. On the first floor there are 2 large double bedrooms and a bathroom. Externally there is an annexe with a living room/bedroom and bathroom providing additional accommodation. There is a separate detached stone fronted barn which has scope for conversion subject to necessary planning consents. Plans have already been drawn up by the current vendors to obtain the necessary consents to create an attractive 2 bedroom separate dwelling. There is a shared access to the property with one other house and there is access to a substantial garden. Situation A major feature of the house is its delightful location situated next to the church in the centre of this highly favoured village. Stogumber has an excellent community and a local village shop, post office, village inn, village hall and ancient church. On the first floor landing there is a colour glazed window and hatch to roof space. The master bedroom has a fitted dressing table and a range of built in wardrobes. The second bedroom has a sink, fitted wardrobes to either side and part vaulted ceiling. The bathroom is fitted with a suite comprising panelled bath, low level WC, pedestal wash basin, enclosed tiled shower cubicle with fitted electric shower and radiator. Annexe The annexe has an arched entrance which leads through to a living area with a window overlooking the garden and a built in wardrobe. A door leads to the bathroom which comprises a panelled bath, low level WC, wash basin, window to side and door to airing cupboard. Barns The drive passes a single storey stone barn which the current owners have applied for planning permission to convert to create a single dwelling (plans of which are attached). The barn includes a store area and there is an up and over door providing access to the garage with an opening internally to a store area with cobbled floor. An additional garage is attached to the barn with a lean to at the rear. Gardens There is a garden at the front of the house which is laid to lawn with planted herbaceous borders. The driveway, which is owned by Manor House and shared by one other neighbour, passes the house and the annexe to the garages. There are walled gardens to one side which include the gravelled driveway with central lawned area and deep planted herbaceous borders. Beyond the garages is a wrought iron gate leading through to the main area of garden which is laid to lawn and includes a vegetable garden and a number of specimen trees and shrubs and enjoys a lovely outlook over the village. Directions Proceed out of Taunton on the A358 towards Minehead for approximately 11 miles. Turn left signposted to Stogumber and after about 2 miles, pass the cricket ground and continue on this road passing the village hall to the T-junction. Bear right and turn right again and proceed up the hill into the centre of the village where Manor House can be identified by a Stags for sale board just next to the church and opposite the pub.
