The more you look at this house, the more it just makes sense. This vastly extended three bedroom family home in the ever popular Willow Way, just a five minute walk from Leagrave Train Station boasts all the living space one could ever need - and thatβ€˜s before we even get to talking about potential.
Extended to the rear and making great use of the ever widening plot, the ground floor accommodation has been opened out to create a semi open-plan lounge into kitchenfamilydining room. The kitchen stretched into the extension, finished with a vaulted ceiling to create a feeling of space and airiness. The fitted kitchen has also seen the notable addition of a substantial island, which contributes as a worktop space and ideal hub of this home that would suit a large or growing family.
The extension work carried to the side has created a large shower room and utility space, whilst a sun room that could be utilised as a play room or home office lays to the rear.
The first floor is very typical of these 1930β€˜s bay fronted homes, with two generous double bedrooms and a single sharing the naturally lit landing with the family bathroom and stairwell to the loft room, complete with velux style window to the rear. Whilst this is not officially a bedroom, this could easily serve or more likely be used as an office or game room
The further you venture into the garden, the wider it gets, such is the shape of this excellent home. There is a generous patio, large lawn and to the rear a cavernous double garage-cum-workshop with doors that open out to the shared rear access that the residents enjoy. A piece of history can also be accessed through the garage in form of the air raid shelter that used to hold multiple families during world war two.
Parking will always be high up on your list of features and this home provides with a lengthy drive for multiple cars as well as the garage to the rear.
Itβ€˜s hard with some houses that enjoy open plan layouts to imagine a sense of warmth, but this home seems to embody it. The lounge to the front creates a cosy nook with the bay window an excellent feature for light and lavishness. The kitchen diner is our favourite part of this home; the kitchen cupboards, island and worktops provide all the storage space and workspace one could need. The dining area currently provides more than enough space for a large dining table meaning you are never out of the conversation when hosting family events.
The area is a big draw for this property. Nearby shops, take-aways, doctors and schools can all be reached by foot within five minutes, whilst the train station is approximately a five minute walk, giving daily fast train access to Kings Cross. The school catchments include the revered Icknield High School.
