Bridge End House sits within private grounds in a slightly elevated position a short walk across the causeway to Lymington High Street for an excellent selection of shops, restaurants, and facilities. Lymington Pier and Lymington Town stations are both within easy walking distance with half-hourly links to Brockenhurst (10 minutes) which offers a mainline service to London Waterloo (approximately 1 hour 45 minutes). The Isle of Wight and open Forest are easily accessible, and Junction 1, M27, is 12 miles to the north. Walhampton independent prep school is within walking distance. So, too, is Walhampton Golf Course, Walhampton Arms and The Ferryman inn.



Bridge End House is a large, spacious Victorian Gothic House built around 1875 and set in a delightful location that is peaceful and private and slightly elevated so that it enjoys beautiful and protected views of Lymington River. A significant feature of the property is that it has been cleverly designed so that almost every room in the house faces south providing light and bright accommodation with a number of rooms having a lovely view of the river. The unique home has numerous original Victorian features including remarkable gothic windows, reclaimed stained glass and individual features including ecclesiastical cast iron floor gratings and an original working bell pull.

The family room, once a dining room, is a delightful room with a river view and another working fireplace. The main lounge is a substantial room, yet very peaceful and welcoming with a double aspect, river view and modern gas fire. The heart of the home is undoubtedly the grand Kitchendining room. Here the gothic windows can really be admired. Extended in 2008, the hand painted Loxley kitchen is simply stunning with a range of fitted cupboards, a breakfast bar, granite, maple and walnut worktops, Neff dishwasher, Franke sinks, Britannia double oven with 6 burner gas hob and Britannia extractor fan, Whirlpool fridge freezer, Vogels extending TV mount, Bose wall speakers and underfloor heating throughout. The Utility room is located off the kitchen with plumbing for the washing machine, space for the dryer, a cupboard housing the Worcester Bosch boiler, water softener, original pantry with slate shelf and a rear door to the garden.

Rising the stairs, the first floor landing is particularly impressive being both light and spacious. The master bedroom has a double aspect with river views, extensive fitted wardrobes and a large Victorian fireplace. Bedroom two has partial river views and both an original fireplace and wardrobe. The third bedroom is the opposite end of the fabulous landing and via an attractive inner landing area with bookshelves. This bedroom was extended in 2008 and has new double-glazed windows made in keeping with the originals. Bedroom four has a river view with a fitted wardrobe and bedroom five another fitted wardrobe and a view of the Lane. There are two family bathrooms, one for the two principle bedrooms and one for the remaining three bedrooms. The main is a modern contemporary suite with underfloor heating, walk in shower and separate bath. The second also has underfloor heating and a modern suite.



There are two primary parking areas to Bridge End House. The first being a private area immediately as you turn off Undershore Road into the gravel lane in front of the cast iron gates. The second parking area is further up the lane behind double gates. This area offers spacious parking and a larger than average garage plus attached single garage and an original stable with rear storage and hay loft above providing additional storage.

The front garden is mainly lawned with river views with an attractive seating area under the wisteria and a further seating area to the side both of which are delightful sun traps. The rear and side gardens rise up from the front lawn offering further lawned area with mature plantings, trees and flowers and lovely views across the lane and beyond.
