A substantial home including saltings and a Boat House (Lion Wharf), a large swimming pool and a walled garden and stable area. The property is situated alongside Lion Creek (leading to the Crouch Estuary) with uninterrupted views across the River itself. It is bordered by Lion Creek RSPB Nature Reserve and Wallasea Island, which has its own Wild Coast conservation scheme, being the largest project of its type in Europe. Lion House is Close to Canewdon Village, historically understood to be where King Canute camped during the Battle of Assandunin, the course of his invasion of Essex in 1016. Local Legend has it that it is also home to six witches and that whilst the church tower stands there will always be six witches in the village and still retains a lock up cage at the gates of the church for those captured.
